Setting priorities for a brighter future
Prior to the beginning of each new legislative session, the WRA Government Affairs Committee adopts its legislative priorities or areas of focus for the duration of session. These priorities are established based on input of members around the state and the outcomes of the regional legislative meetings. As a WRA member, your opinion counts in this capacity. We want to hear what issues you’re encountering in your business and what you need legislators to hear.
WRA legislative priorities generally involve issues such as:
- Taxes
- Minimum wage
- Sustainability issues
- Nutritional labeling
- Retro
- Alcohol regulations
- Health care reform
- Gaming
- Food code
